Scope: for automatic compensation of reactive power of electrical installations of industrial enterprises and distribution networks with a voltage of 0.4 kV and a frequency of 50 Hz, in networks with a rapidly variable load
The banks are completed with modules of static generators of reactive power and capacitors of KPC type. The banks have a degree of protection IP21
They are a combination of a static generator of reactive power and conventional capacitor steps connected by means of contactors or thyristor modules.
Stepless regulation provides better performance than a common capacitor bank. Compensation of capacitive and inductive reactive power eliminates overcompensation. There is a more stable system operation. There is no risk of harmonic amplification or resonance in the system.

In the designation of the bank: the last letter is the type of switching device of capacitor
steps (K-contactors, T-thyristors);
the first number after the type is the nominal voltage in kilovolts;
the second is the rated power in kvars;
the third – the power of the static generator of reactive power in kvars;
the fourth and the fifth – the number and power of capacitor steps in kvars.
